Chris Anderson is an award-winning composer for film and television based in Los Angeles. Originally from Philadelphia, he first learned piano from his grandmother and composes on that very piano to this day. He went on to study music composition at Hampshire College in Amherst, MA, continuing his focus on film music at the USC graduate film scoring program. Since then he has scored over 60 films, episodic television, documentaries, ad campaigns and fine art installations. His musical palette ranges from orchestral scores to jazz, ambient, modern rock, and cutting-edge electronic soundscapes. Equally at home in front of a piano, a computer, or an orchestra, Anderson is a proven musical chameleon.
Recently, Anderson recorded “the american mosaic – an unsung requiem”, his 30-minute piece for symphony orchestra, as well as "The Lotus Quartet", for string quartet. While actively working with new music ensembles to perform them, he composes for film & TV, new music projects, and recordings of his own.
